Introducing the Newly Redesigned Wall Box from AmeriWater
AmeriWater is proud to introduce our newly redesigned wall box. Our wall box is specially designed to lessen the common challenges healthcare professionals face in the day-to-day dialysis treatment setting and to increase patient safety.
The wall box features a unique compartmentalized design, lessening opportunities for cross contamination. We created a physical barrier to separate waste from the water supply and dialysate area. These barriers, an interior shelf and sliding door, are both removable to aide in cleaning. Additionally, the compartments are sized for easy cleaning while the barriers are in place.
The body is constructed of a single piece of ABS antimicrobial plastic, suitable for infectious control. A slight slant within the interior of the box helps waste flow easily towards the drain area. The drain connection, a 1 ½” PVC pipe, is designed to minimize and prevent foaming.
The acid and bicarb connections feature isolation valves to allow for servicing the wall box without disrupting the loop. They are comprised of heavy duty PVC with EPDM seals, and feature color-coded handles with safety collars.
In addition, AmeriWater’s wall boxes are compliant with the State of Illinois Plumbing Code Section 890.740.
AmeriWater’s wall boxes provide a clean connection option between your facility’s acid, bicarb, and/or ultrapure water lines and hemodialysis machines while keeping the waste to drain separate from these connections. These boxes recess into the wall to prevent damage to the valves and dialysis machine connections when patient chairs recline. Our redesigned wall boxes are available in several configurations to accommodate most dialysis applications including both hot water disinfect and chemical disinfect systems. Replacing your existing wall boxes with the redesigned model is simple; the updated design is less than an inch larger than the prior version.
